What is located in the most remote place in the world? – INTERESTING FACT

There is a place on Earth so remote from human settlements that if someone were there, they would be closer to an astronaut in space than to any other person on Earth.

This lonely spot in the Pacific Ocean is called Point Nemo, named in honor of Captain Nemo, the hero of Jules Verne’s famous novel “Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Sea.”

Point Nemo is the location on the planet farthest from any coastline or inhabited area. The nearest land is the small Ducie Island and Easter Island, located 2,688 kilometers to the north. For comparison, the International Space Station orbits at an altitude of only about 400 kilometers above Earth, and under normal conditions, reaching it can be faster than reaching the nearest land point from Point Nemo.
