Thailand has ordered a review of the visa-free regime for foreigners and a reduction from 60 days to 30 days.
This is due to cases where some visitors stay longer than permitted and work illegally.
Currently, the visa waiver system is available for citizens of 93 countries and territories visiting Thailand for tourism or temporary business purposes for up to 60 days, extendable for up to 30 days.
It should be noted that the resolution, which introduced a visa-free regime for visitors from 93 countries and territories for up to 60 days, was signed on July 15, 2024.
