Uzbekistan plans to allow citizens of Azerbaijan, Russia, and Kazakhstan to enter the country with an internal passport or ID card.
This is reflected in the decree of the President of the country, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, "On measures to increase the role and importance of tourism in the economy through a sharp increase in tourist flows and rapid expansion of tourism services in 2025-2026."
According to the document, the initiative is aimed at simplifying travel, developing tourism, business and humanitarian relations.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) of Uzbekistan has been instructed to begin negotiations with the relevant agencies of these three countries within three months to increase the flow of tourists to the country's regions and to submit their proposals to the government based on the results.
