Azerbaijan's tourism potential has overcome seasonal dependence and the country has become an attractive destination for tourists year-round.
Despite the cold months of the first quarter of 2025, the number of foreign tourists visiting our country increased by 2.7 percent or 8,810 people compared to the same period last year, reaching 331,783. 64.9 percent of them were men and 35.1 percent were women. Also, 98.5 percent of the tourists visiting our country during this period arrived in Azerbaijan by air, and 1.5 percent by water. Those who arrived by water were mainly citizens of Turkmenistan and Kazakhstan.
It should be noted that in the first quarter of 2024, 322,973 tourists visited our country. This is 44.2 percent or 98,993 more than in the same period in 2023.
