On June 18, the Agreement between the Government of Azerbaijan and the Government of the Maldives on the mutual exemption from visa requirements for holders of diplomatic, service, and official passports enters into force.
The Agreement was signed on November 15, 2024, in Baku within the framework of COP29.
This document aims to strengthen and develop friendly relations between the two countries by facilitating the movement of citizens holding diplomatic, service, and official passports of Azerbaijan and the Maldives.
According to the agreement, holders of valid diplomatic and service (official) passports from both parties may enter, transit through, and exit the territory of the other party without a visa, and stay there visa-free for up to 90 days from the date of entry.
