Laza village in Gusar district, rich in mysterious natural landscapes, is a favorite destination for tourists. Located in the northeast of the Caucasus Mountains, at the foot of the Shahdag Heights, the village is called the land of waterfalls of Azerbaijan.

There are more than 10 mountain waterfalls in the village of Laza. This is one of the main factors that attract local and foreign tourists here. The plateau on which the village is located is 1300 meters above sea level.
Laza's beautiful waterfalls and clean air are famous even outside our country. Tourists can be found here in both summer and winter.


This year, the majority of foreign tourists who came to admire the scenery of the Laza waterfalls are from the Gulf countries, India and Pakistan. Guests of the Shahdag Tourism Center can also visit the village of Laza, which is located on the same tourist route.
In winter, most of the waterfalls around the village of Laza freeze, creating a mysterious natural landscape. The snowy and frosty weather in the settlement lasts for 7 months. International and local ice climbing competitions are held on the frozen waterfalls.
There are 30 houses in the village of Laza, which has a population of about two hundred people. The main occupation of the village's population is animal husbandry. In recent years, the village's residents have also begun to earn income from the tourism sector. The village has also preserved ancient carpet weaving traditions.
